In May 1964 Jim Templeton took his daughters on a day trip with the rest of his family. Being an amateur photographer he took his kodak camera with him to take some pictures of his daughters on Solway Firth.

One of the pictures taken by Jim Templeton on Solway Firth |
During the afternoon he took a picture of one of his daughters on Burgh marsh in her new frock. When the picture was developed he was shocked to see a figure in the background; even though they were on their own at the time.

Who is in the background? |
On the other side of the world, at the same time that the photograph was taken, a military exercise had to be aborted because of a large object hovering over Woomera Test Range accompanied by two large men in white spacesuits. When the picture above was seen in Australia, on the front page of a newspaper, the man in the background was recognised as being the same as the figures spotted at Woomera.

Woomera Test Range |
Coincidentally the rockets regularly fired from Woomera were manufactured close to Solway Firth in England. Were the man on Solway Firth and the figures spotted in Woomera connected?
